Walmart will offer digital vaccine passport to customers, claiming it's proof that vaccinated people are "safe"

Walmart will offer a digital vaccine passport to customers who receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the retail giant's vaccination sites. The company has teamed up with digital immunity passport providers CLEAR and the Commons Project Foundation (TCP) to allow customers to prove they have been vaccinated when such proof is required for them to travel, return to work or school and enter entertainment venues. The retailer has received federal vaccine shipments as part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. Since February, it has been administering the coronavirus jab across 22 states through both its Walmart and Sam's Club outlets. According to a press release on Wednesday, March 17, customers vaccinated at Walmart and Sam's Club stores will be able to verify their vaccination records through CLEAR's Health Pass app and TCP's CommonHealth and CommonPass apps. "Our goal is to give customers vaccinated at Walmart free and secure digital access to their vaccine record and enable them to share that information with third parties seeking to confirm their vaccination status," said Walmart president and CEO John Furner.

How Walmart's vaccine passport program works

Walmart explained how customers would receive their digital vaccine passports. First, customers would have to create a free account on the Walmart or Sam's Club app to schedule an appointment to get the vaccine. They can then choose to download Health Pass, CommonHealth or CommonPass on their phones and create a free account. Customers need to sign into their Walmart or Sam's Club account and agree to share their vaccination history with the passport app they have chosen. They then have to authenticate their vaccine status in the passport app using their Walmart or Sam's Club account credentials. Once this is complete, they can then receive a QR code from the app that they can use when boarding a plane or attending a sporting event, among others. "These platforms are free to users who choose to use them in order to verify their vaccine status to safely return to travel, work, school, sports events, entertainment and other venues while protecting their health data privacy," the retail giant said in the press release. Several other organizations are already using the apps to implement a health passport program. Airline companies Jet Blue and United Airlines, for example, use CommonPass to verify negative test results before allowing passengers to board certain international flights. Walmart's announcement came as a coalition of tech, health and research organizations – including Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Cerner, the Mayo Clinic and the Mitre Corporation – were pushing for digital vaccine passports. The coalition revealed in February that they were developing technology standards to obtain and share their immunization records digitally. Vaccine passports curtail freedom

Civil rights watchdogs warned that vaccine passports could be used to take away people's freedom and discriminate against those who refuse to take the coronavirus vaccine. "The real risk of vaccine immunity passports is the violation of our rights and freedoms," Ted Kuntz, president of Vaccine Choice Canada, told LifeSiteNews. "The unstated intention of such a document would be used to restrict access to travel and services of those individuals not partaking in this medical experiment." Indeed, countries that implemented a vaccine passport program have experienced what citizens call a "medical apartheid." Israel, for example, has instituted a "green passport" in which people who were not vaccinated would not able to enter theaters, malls and other public venues. "It’s very intense over here in Israel," said Ilana Rachel Daniel in a video posted March 3 on Bitchute. "They are creating a medical apartheid."
The Canadian Civil Liberties Association also warned that immunity passports would become tools for state-sponsored abuse, discrimination and oppression. The left-leaning organization explained that these passes would segregate citizens into vaccinated and unvaccinated groups, which would create a "dangerous social sorting, a categorization of human beings as safe vs. unsafe, deserving vs. undeserving, based on their personal decision about their health.”
" We know what happens when we create social systems dividing people into categories – abuse, discrimination, and oppression," the civil liberties group said.
