Biden's DHS to become the new Gestapo with help of Big Tech to spy on all Americans via social media
If you are still weighing whether or not to remain on the Big Tech social media platforms, new policies being implemented by Joe Biden's Department of Homeland Security should make your decision easier.
According to reports, DHS under Biden now sees "domestic extremists" everywhere since the Jan. 6 Capitol Building riot because the Democrat Party and the regime
are using the incident as an excuse to become the 2021 version of the Nazi secret police, the Gestapo (and they called Donald Trump 'Hitler').
According to
NBC News, DHS will implement a "sweeping set of policy changes" allegedly to bolster the massive agency's ability to collect our data that will include "the sorts of public social media posts that threatened an attack on the" Capitol.
Unnamed senior officials told the network that though the FBI and other U.S. agencies were aware of several posts related to pre-planning of the assault, they were not determined to be "actionable."
"DHS plans to expand its relationships with companies that scour public data for intelligence, one of the senior officials said, as well as to better harness the vast trove of data it already collects about Americans,
including travel and commercial data through Customs and Border Protection, or CBP, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, the Coast Guard, the Secret Service and other DHS components," the report said.
Critics of Big Government and Big Tech's already powerful spying capabilities were quick to pounce.
"Gee, what could possibly go wrong with this?"
The Conservative Treehouse quipped.
"From the description it appears DHS is going to pay 'big tech' (Google, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, SnapChat, Twitter, etc.) via contracts, to hire and organize internal monitoring teams to assist the government by sending information on citizens they deem 'dangerous,'" the blog said.
"Expand your thinking to what was initiated with the COVID model for 'contact tracing' and you can quickly see how physical proximity to a rogue dissident, a person with wrong thoughts – aka a domestic extremist, can result in you being labeled along with that dissident ... and you are on the list," the site added.
"Then overlay the efforts of Big Tech to assist the administrative state with an electronic trail of your habits, contacts, phone calls, text messages and internet patterns ... and you are on the list."
NBC also quoted another senior official who said the department is considering additional changes to its terrorist watchlist "to see if there are ways we can leverage it to take into account international and domestic travel of known violent extremists."
'Violent extremists,' of course, are determined by the government; the citizen identified as such has no say in it and cannot defend himself or herself until he or she is persecuted by Uncle Sam's spy agencies -- and all with Big Tech's assistance.
"The idea is to identify people who may through their social media behavior be prone to influence by toxic messaging spread by foreign governments, terrorists and domestic extremists. We want to Identify the narratives that are emerging, assess which narratives are likely to incite violence, figure out what targets are likely and then take steps to mitigate the risk," said one government official.
The same source claimed that DHS would be implementing these new policies "in a very careful way that is mindful of privacy and civil liberties, because it's focusing on narratives, not people."
"Domestic violent extremism poses the most lethal, persistent terrorism-related threat to our homeland today. Under Secretary Mayorkas' leadership, DHS is working closely with federal, state, local, tribal, and non-government partners to address this threat, and all of our efforts are carried out in close coordination with our privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties experts," the department said in a statement.
Right. Just like the NSA was 'very mindful of privacy and civil liberties' during the Obama administration when the agency was vacuuming up every bit of data on Americans it could grab, according to whistleblower Edward Snowden.
