Democrats now openly calling for government confiscation of 5% of the wealth of those Americans who have earned the most... and next it will be 20%
Democrats misname organizations and legislation because they can't be honest with Americans about their tyrannical agenda or they would never get our support.
Take, for instance, the latest attempt by a member of the party to allow the government to steal more of our wealth.
"Rep. Thomas Suozzi (D-N.Y.), a member of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, said that he’s exploring the idea of a one-time tax on the wealth of the richest Americans as Democrats seek to increase taxes on the rich in order to pay for spending priorities,"
The Hill reported this week in an exclusive.
In an interview, Suozzi -- from the high-tax state of New York -- "said he’s in the early stages of looking at what he called a 'patriot tax,'" The Hill continued, adding: "This would be a one-time surcharge of 2.5 percent on wealth between $50 million and $100 million and a 5 percent tax on wealth above $100 million. Wealthy people would be able to pay the tax over five years."
The outlet added, "Research provided by Suozzi’s office estimates that such a tax could raise about $450 billion."
First things first: Some government taxation may be necessary to fund the vital functions of the government since obviously we don't rely solely on tariffs anymore to raise revenue. But know this -- every tax is
nothing short of government confiscation of wealth, period. And by force, too; if you don't pay your taxes, the government will simply take what you 'owe' and if you give the government any grief, armed men and women will come pay you a visit.
Also, there is nothing at all "patriotic" about paying
more in taxes. Nothing. Here's what was patriotic: During the Second World War, Americans bought war bonds by the tens of billions of dollars, which helped the government fund the war effort. Millions of Americans planted and maintained "victory" gardens, growing more of their own food so that our men and women in uniform had enough to sustain them on the battlefield.
Those are examples of true-blue patriotism; giving the government more power to confiscate our wealth isn't "patriotic" by any definition unless you're a Democrat who has to lie to Americans in order to excuse their tyranny.
It gets better though -- or worse, actually. Listening to this tyrant justify his wealth theft is sickening.
“We all know that people who are wealthy did very well during the pandemic and people that were low-income people did not do well," he told The Hill.
We do? We
all know that, do we? How so? Because a lot of wealthy people did
not do well during the pandemic. Many had to close their businesses down, and most of those were ordered by Democratic mayors and governors for a prolonged period of time. Sure, poor people definitely suffered too, but look at how this tyrant divides us by class and socioeconomic status to justify his theft. It's disgusting.
He went on to borrow from Joe Biden's 2020 campaign slogan to shame wealthy Americans, saying handing over more of their money is required of them as “a way to help your country to build back better.”
Why are just rich people expected to help out? How about people who are staying at home collecting outsized unemployment checks instead of getting jobs and contributing to the country's maintenance through payroll and other taxes?
Suozzi admitted that his legislation faces an uphill battle, and that's good. It should; in fact, it should never be introduced in the first place, because here's the thing: Once Democrats get their grubby paws in our pockets and in our wallets, they can never steal enough of our wealth because they can never spend enough to buy off their political constituencies.
Enough already.
Donald Trump gave us tax cuts and in return, the U.S. Treasury got
more income. That's how it works in a capitalist republic.
