Facebook "fact checker" worked to bankrupt conservative and indy news sites by convincing advertisers to drop them
Facebook and other social media behemoths have consistently said they're not biased against conservatives and independent publishers, and just as often as they deny it they are proven to be liars.
That happened again this past week and in a big way.
The National Pulse managed to unearth new evidence indicating that a so-called "fact checker" Facebook and TikTok, among other platforms, "attempted to coerce advertisers into dropping conservative media outlets as clients in social media posts," the outlet reported.
The site said that it discovered Twitter posts from Lead Stories copy editor Leslie Lapides "follow the outlet's founder and Editor-in-Chief Alan Duke repeatedly denying allegations of left-wing bias."
But in fact, despite those denials, Lapides has posted at least four tweets showing support for Sleeping Giants, a left-wing internet activist organization whose members target advertisers seen on conservative sites like
Breitbart News.
The activist group, which says it was formed to “make bigotry and sexism less profitable,” is well-known for convincing advertisers to drop listings on right-leaning sites through bullying campaigns, many of which have successfully bankrupted conservative media outlets.
“The group does have a singular purpose, pursued as relentlessly as Ahab chasing a whale: It aims to drive advertisers away from Breitbart,” The Washington Post reported.
The National Pulse noted about Lapides:
On February 5th, 2017, she shared four posts encouraging Instaflex, Medix Select, Snoring Solution, and the Association of Mature American Citizens to halt their advertisements running on Breitbart. “Hello, are you aware that your ad is running on Breitbart News? Would you consider removing it,” she wrote before tagging Sleeping Giants.
Again, remember, this woman is supposed to be an "unbiased" fact-checker who is behaving as a left-wing activist.
"Lapides has also tagged dozens of members of Congress encouraging them to launch an investigation into Donald Trump’s financial ties to Russia. She has also shared images of signs declaring 'RESISTANCE IS PATRIOTIC'" while tagging the former president, The National Pulse added.
That said, we tend to agree with the 'resistance is patriotic' claim, especially now that Joe Biden stole his way into the Oval Office and Democrats control Congress, though we doubt very much if Lapides believes conservative resistance to the Biden Marxism is now "patriotic."
In any event, we've also known for some time that the 'fact checkers' who are in cahoots with the mainstream media and the left-wing social media platforms are not interested in facts but instead in suppression of inconvenient facts -- that is, facts that do not comport with their propaganda.
In June,
Natural News reported that Factcheck.org, for instance -- which works with Facebook and other platforms -- is little more than a disinformation factory that pushes lies and false narratives under the guise of being a 'neutral third party.'
The organization has worked to cover up associations between former CDC directors and Big Pharma makers of the COVID-19 vaccines, for instance:
A flagrant conflict of interest, Richard E. Besser’s appointment as President and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Foundation following his tenure at the CDC just goes to show that “fact checking” is a total sham that serves as a front for Big Pharma to spread propaganda about the “safety and effectiveness” of its chemical products.
“Who pays the paychecks of the fact checkers? The vaccine fact checkers at @factcheckdotorg, who claim to be independent, are funded by an organization that holds over $1.8 billion of stock in a vaccine company, and is run by a former director of @CDCgov," Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., tweeted last week.
This site, among many others, has also been banned from the major platforms for
spreading vaccine and other health-related 'misinformation' despite the fact that our reporting has been spot-on and verified; it's just contrary to what the fact-check liars want people to know.
At a time when we've never had more and better ways to communicate, we know less and less because information is increasingly filtered through a few chosen gatekeepers, all of which owe their allegiance to the deep state, not the people.
