Connecticut violates medical privacy laws (HIPAA) with Orwellian push that allows health "officials" to access vaccine medical records on an individual basis
Ned Lamont, the governor of Connecticut, has
signed an executive order that allows local health officials and school nurses to access the private Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) "vaccination" status of individuals living in their communities.
Existing law in Connecticut prohibits vaccination records from being released either to patients or to health care providers, but thanks to Lamont's action, that information will now be made readily available to government officials on demand in violation of federal medical privacy laws (HIPAA).
"The decree will allow individuals to obtain a copy of their immunization records to satisfy vaccine mandates put in place by employers and businesses," reported
The Epoch Times about Lamont's executive order.
"Health care providers will be allowed to see their patients' vaccination history, for example, if they needed to administer vaccine boosters, instead of keeping track of it on their own."
Beyond this, local health authorities will also be given access to the vaccination status of individuals living within their jurisdictions, even if the individuals in question have no idea that such information is being harvested by the government.
"Specifically, school nurses and local health directors will be equipped with timely information about the vaccination status of their communities," a statement from Lamont's office explains about who will have access to the vaccination data.
The order is set to remain in effect until the end of September, though it can be modified to terminate on a different date. (RELATED: Learn about how a Connecticut public health laboratory discovered that

"Without this order, patients will continue to be frustrated that they are blocked from accessing their own vaccination records, and doctors and healthcare providers will be unable to easily lookup when and with what vaccine their patients were administered a COVID-19 vaccine," Lamont contends.
Hospitals, medical centers praise Lamont for decimating patient privacy
Upon hearing the news, numerous hospitals, health centers and health center associations lauded Lamont for his executive order. One of these was Yale New Haven Health, the CEO of which praised Lamont for ruling against patient privacy.
"Vaccinations are the only safe and proven way to end this pandemic and giving all Connecticut residents access to their vaccination records will allow us all to return to doing all the things we love with those we love," said Marna Borgstrom.
Connecticut's vaccination information system was first established in 1998 and was recently updated to include information about the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination status of state residents.
In order to access and use the system, all health care providers, school nurses and local health departments are required to sign a confidentiality agreement that must be renewed every two years.
Users are supposedly monitored and logged to ensure that no inappropriate activity is taking place. In the event that foul play is identified, the state of Connecticut says it will investigate.
"Neddy and his gang should remember the HIPAA Privacy Rule," wrote one commenter at

a summary of it published at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) website.
"The logical next thing for them to do is advance the cause of enabling employer access, whether directly or indirectly, to the data," this same commenter added, drawing parallels to what took place during World War II.
