COVID-19 lockdowns failed: Fauci and whole lockdown crew blame public for "not following rules sufficiently"

The narrative that government and public health officials only did what they thought was best for Americans during the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is crumbling due to the weight of the evidence. Ben Bartree, writing for the Daily Bell, noted that the narrative regarding the COVID-19 restrictions and vaccine mandates is starting to change. Government and public health officials used to claim that the lockdowns and mandates were, among other things, necessary and supported by science. Now, they are trying to change the narrative. "Now as their COVID narrative crumbles before their eyes, the near-term PR goal of [Dr. Anthony Fauci] and the whole lockdown crew is to convince you, Joe Public, that their murderous COVID lockdowns and vax mandates all just sort of happened so fast in the fog of war," wrote Bartree. He added that the narrative public health officials like Fauci are trying to float this time is that they acted in good faith and "scrambled the best way they knew how to protect their flocks from the dreaded coronavirus." The lies widely propagated by Fauci, other public health officials, government officials and the mainstream media have had devastating consequences for billions of people around the world.

Science does not support pandemic restrictions

Multiple studies and reviews have already been conducted to figure out if the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions like lockdowns and mandates were effective at preventing the spread of the coronavirus or at preventing deaths. None of those studies have come to the conclusion that the restrictions are effective. One review conducted by researchers from Johns Hopkins University came to this very conclusion. They wrote: "We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality." Lockdowns in the United States and Europe during the early phase of the pandemic in 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by about 0.2 percent. The review added there may be evidence that limited masking and very limited closures of certain businesses might have an effect on the spread of COVID-19, but the researchers noted there are very few studies arguing this and their conclusions are very limited to certain conditions. What the researchers were certain of is that the lockdowns had "devastating effects" on the economy and that they led to the development of more social concerns. "They have contributed to reducing economic activity, raising unemployment, reducing schooling, causing political unrest, contributing to domestic violence and undermining liberal democracy," wrote the researchers. "Such a standard benefit-cost calculation leads to a strong conclusion: Lockdowns should be rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy instrument." Bartree himself commented that the lockdowns may have killed more people with "lockdown-induced starvation" than the coronavirus itself. Martin Kulldorff and Jay Bhattacharya, professors of medicine at Harvard University and Stanford University, respectively, published an opinion piece last year pointing out that politicians, journalists, academics and public health officials are wrong to try and pass blame onto the public for the failure of COVID-19 lockdowns. "With so many COVID deaths, it is obvious that lockdown strategies failed to protect the old," they wrote. "Lockdowns have, nevertheless, generated enormous collateral damage across all ages." (Related: With the COVID con the biggest act of murderous psychological warfare upon Americans in history, those who launched 'the attack' MUST BE held accountable, not praised for ending it.) Kulldorff and Bhattacharya noted that the "blame game" for the failure of COVID-19 restrictions and mandates is now in full swing, as the scientists, politicians and media personalities that fully supported them are now claiming the reason they did not work is that "people did not comply with the rules sufficiently." "But blaming the public is disingenuous," wrote Kulldorff and Bhattacharya. "Never in human history has the population sacrificed so much to comply with public health mandates."
