A new
poll from the Daily Wire found that the vast majority of voters support an anti-grooming bill passed in
Florida, which Democrats and the media have dishonestly smeared as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

The poll interviewed a 1,000 person sample – 37% of which was Democrat, 32% Republican, and 31% independent. Each respondent was read a portion of the bill’s text and asked whether they supported it.
The question was: “Below is a passage from a new state education law. Please indicate whether you support or oppose it. ‘Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or
gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through third grade or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”
By and large, respondents said they supported the bill. Nearly 65% of respondents said they agreed with the bill’s statements, while only 21% said they disagreed.
There wasn’t much of a difference in regards to political affiliation. Sixty-nine percent of Republicans supported the bill, along with 62% of Democrats and 57% of independents.
A different
poll conducted by Morning Consult found similar results. Asked whether they agree that the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity to public students in grades K-3 should be prohibited, 51% said yes, while only 35% said no.
Florida Gov.
Ron DeSantis and other Republicans have defended the bill against leftist attacks, arguing that it is necessary to protect young children from educators who want to force gender identity and other sexual topics on them.
“When you actually look at the bill and it says ‘no sexual instruction to kids pre-K through three,’ how many parents want their kids to have
transgenderism or something injected into classroom instruction?” DeSantis said earlier this month.
“It’s basically saying for our younger students, do you really want them being taught about sex? And this is any sexual stuff. But I think clearly right now, we see a focus on transgenderism, telling kids they may be able to pick genders and all of that.
“As the parent of three kids that are age 5 and under, thank you for letting me and my wife be able to send our kids to kindergarten without them being sexualized,” he added.
