
In one tweet from the early days of the pandemic, Jankowicz wrote that she thinks Americans may be too "free-spirited" to follow public health recommendations, "so force away! Lock us down. People are not taking this seriously." In another tweet sent months later, she wrote, "I hope all those who want to get out of lockdown and 'get their freedom back,' who doubted Russia’s intentions, or though the Mueller investigation was a 'hoax' now understand the seriousness of cyber attacks in information operations." People have taken to calling this new board the "Ministry of Truth," referencing the George Orwell novel 1984. This ministry was engaged in falsifying history, with the government deciding what they want the truth to be. The book’s ruling government party uses the motto "War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength," which is prominent amongst the four ministries, and especially within the Ministry of Truth.
