Earlier, a White House statement backed the Poland and NATO assessment that the Tuesday border explosion was "most likely the result of a Ukrainian air defense missile that unfortunately landed in Poland."
The statement by National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson, a spokeswoman for the National Security Council, also noted that the U.S. has "full confidence" in the Polish government's ongoing investigation.
"We have seen nothing that contradicts President Duda’s preliminary assessment that this explosion was most likely the result of a Ukrainian air defense missile that unfortunately landed in Poland," she said.
"We will continue to assess and share any new information transparently as it becomes available. We will also continue to stay in close touch with the Ukrainians regarding any information they have to fill out the picture," she added.
Nevertheless, she still blamed the incident on Russia, as did NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg: "That said, whatever the final conclusions may be, it is clear that the party ultimately responsible for this tragic incident is Russia, which launched a barrage of missiles on Ukraine specifically intended to target civilian infrastructure. Ukraine had — and has — every right to defend itself."
"We again express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and our condolences for the losses they suffered in these barbaric airstrikes. We know that millions more Ukrainians remain without power, water and basic necessities as a result. Our thoughts and prayers go out again to the loved ones of the two Polish citizens tragically killed," said Watson.
At the same time, Joe Biden, the fake president, began pimping Congress while Dems still Control the House for another massive injection of American taxpayer funds into the bottomless money pit that is Ukraine -- $37 billion.
Some lawmakers -- Republicans, mostly -- are calling for an end to the endless funding, at least until Americans can be shown what the tens of billions that have already been spent there have paid for.
"I’m calling for an audit of all US aid and funding to Ukraine. The American people deserve to know how their money is being spent in defense of another nation’s border while the Biden regime ignores the threat to our national security everyday at our own border," Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) tweeted this week.
