China’s ruthless dictatorship is “unwilling” to accept COVID-19 “vaccines” deemed to be “Western.” The United States director of national intelligence Avril Haines said that even though the protests are expanding, China is setting records with its new COVID cases. Haines, speaking at the annual Reagan National Defense Forum in California, said on Saturday that despite the social and economic impact of the zero COVID policy, Xi “is unwilling to take a better vaccine from the West, and is instead relying on a vaccine in China that’s just not nearly as effective against Omicron”. Is Haines referring to a “better vaccine” such as this one?:

“Seeing protests and the response to it is countering the narrative that he likes to put forward, which is that China is so much more effective at government,” Haines said. “It’s, again, not something we see as being a threat to stability at this moment, or regime change or anything like that,” she said according to a report by The Guardian while adding: “How it develops will be important to Xi’s standing.”

Last week authorities abruptly lifted Covid restrictions in the Chinese cities of Guangzhou and Chongqing, where protesters scuffled with police.

On Saturday, the southern city of Shenzhen announced it would no longer require people to show a negative Covid test result to use public transport or enter parks, after similar moves by Chengdu and Tianjin, among China’s biggest cities.

Many testing booths in Beijing were shut as the capital stopped demanding negative test results as a condition to enter places such as supermarkets. –The Guardian

China has not approved any foreign Covid vaccines, opting for those produced domestically, and it does not look as though the country will be changing its mind. One United States official even told Reuters there was “no expectation at present” that China would approve western vaccines. The real question, is does China know something about the “vaccines” released in the United States and other Western countries?
