Chinese agents caught using TikTok to manipulate midterm election in favor of Democrats

The Chinese-owned social media app TikTok is once again in the news for manipulating U.S. elections to install Democrat political puppets who are favorable to the communist regime. An investigation found that a number of prominent TikTok accounts are little more than Chinese state media mouthpieces that push anti-Republican, pro-Democrat messaging across the platform. In the lead-up to the 2022 midterms, TikTok accounts were casting negative energy at conservative candidates while propping up Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-tied leftist candidates, many of whom ended up "winning" their races. While political influencing on social media is nothing new, the accounts in question conveniently failed to disclose their ties to the CCP. Viewers, including millions of unique accounts, watched their content believing it to be independent and not necessarily part of any covert agenda. Various hot-button issues were addressed by these CCP-linked accounts, including abortion and race. Republicans were portrayed as being on the wrong side of all these issues. (Related: TikTok bears responsibility for misleading thousands of vulnerable teenagers into "self-diagnosing" rare mental disorders.) "This opens a new dimension for conversation about TikTok," said Conor Healy, director of government research at the surveillance research group IPVM.

Foreign Chinese agent MediaLinks TV managed subversive TikTok accounts pushing leftist politics

According to reports, a group known as MediaLinks TV managed the accounts. In 2019, MediaLinks TV registered with the United States Treasury Department as a foreign agent for China. MediaLinks TV is also responsible for the distribution of China Central Television (CCTV) and CGTN, according to the company's LinkedIn page. And Apple has confirmed that MediaLinks TV also runs the smartphone apps for both CCTV and CGTN. One specific account called NewsTokss was identified in the investigation as putting forth anti-Republican, pro-Democrat content and news coverage prior to the 2022 midterms. One such piece of content was a video with the caption "Cruz, Abbott Don't Care About Us," referring to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. Greg Abbott. On another occasion, the NewsTokss account on TikTok put out a video criticizing Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida for having "Done Absolutely Nothing." There is a reason why many of today's Democrats are unabashed globalists pushing the same exact agenda as what has become the norm in communist China, where freedom does not exist. The CCP has been working overtime to turn the U.S. into a "Chimerica" police state where all citizens – but not illegal aliens – are required to take "vaccine" injections on demand and wear a mask everywhere they go. China already controls America's manufacturing sector, and is quickly taking over the internet and turning it into a leftist echo chamber where all criticism against the state is outlawed. "There are still many liberals who want to maintain the Chimerica order of yore, where China would serve as the manufacturing hub that would provide Americans cheap goods at the expense of the country's industrial sector," writes Jose Nino for Big League Politics. "That economic model has fundamentally transformed in recent years, in large part due to the Wuhan virus pandemic and the economic shockwaves caused by governments' response to it ... The CCP's ability to use technology to exploit holes in American politics should serve as a reminder as to why the U.S. must economically decouple from China and restrict immigration from there." In the comments, several people reiterated the fact that TikTok is one of the CCP's primary tools of subversion against the West. By capturing the minds and hearts of primarily younger people, the CCP is leading an entire generation astray with relative ease.
