The Zelenko Report: Congress needs a strong and fearless House speaker, says Ivan Raiklin – Brighteon.TV

The United States Congress needs a strong and fearless House speaker, former U.S. Army officer and political analyst Ivan Raiklin told host Ann Vandersteel during the December 20 episode of "The Zelenko Report" on Brighteon.TV. Raiklin said the January 6 committee, or what he calls the Mike Pence J6 coverup committee, gave House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy an opportunity to pick five members of the Republican Party to be part of that investigation team. But McCarthy was compromised and blackmailed into not doing it, said Raiklin. (Related: Tucker Carlson hammers house GOP leader Kevin McCarthy: 'A puppet of the Democratic party.') "This is the same Kevin McCarthy that 222 members of the Republican Conference want to be their leader," Raiklin noted. "That is absolutely disgusting." Fortunately, according the Raiklin, six Republican legislators came out to oppose McCarthy. They are Lauren Boebert, Bob Good, Matt Rosendale, Andy Biggs, Ralph Norman and Matt Gaetz. Raiklin also lamented that the federal government has been fully captured by the Chinese Communist Party. "To recover and regain ground that was lost to China, a strong, fearless, uncompromising, unflinching speaker of the House is needed," he said. And McCarthy doesn't have those qualities. "He is a walking counterintelligence time bomb waiting to go off. And unless we go ahead and sense that, defuse probably by Christmas, maybe we have a few more days after that. But I don't expect him to stay in the race beyond Christmas because people are going to start to see that he's a walking time bomb," Raiklin said. Vandersteel said McCarthy has a propensity for affairs and the conservative Republicans are very concerned about that because he can be blackmailed. Raiklin agreed and slammed McCarthy for being a "feckless, toxic and weak coward" who backed away and didn't want to address it in the court of public opinion. "That shows to me that he's so compromised and that hasn't been addressed. He has never said publicly why he stepped away from being the speaker of the House in 2015. He needs to answer to that," Raiklin said.

Raiklin: Trump becoming speaker of the House is a possibility

Elsewhere in the show, Vandersteel floated the idea of having former President Donald Trump as speaker of the House. "Is 'Speaker Trump' a viable plan?" she asked. Raiklin said it is a possibility based on the phone calls that he has been receiving in the past few days. According to Raiklin, Trump is the only unifying candidate who could come forward. He mentioned that Trump had endorsed 150 members of the Republican Conference and he has more leverage over the entire conference than any human being on the planet based on that relation. Vandersteel agreed, noting that Trump is an "all-in-one majority weapons speaker." Vandersteel commented that people are looking forward to see Trump seeking a congressional position and becoming the speaker of the House. She added that Trump will get to pick his own sergeant at arms and have a January 6 investigation team that will truly seek the truth.
