REAL or STAGED? Sweden's drone surveillance EXPANDED due to violent gang wars

Stockholm police have announced the expansion of their unmanned aerial systems (UAS) surveillance program to several new locations to combat crimes and maintain public safety as criminal factions engage in violent gang wars on the streets of the Swedish capital. It's not clear, however, if these gang wars are real or just staged to justify the expansion of the program. It's interesting to note that the lead actors in these "gang wars" are immigrants. Multiple areas in Stockholm County are now under constant surveillance, and the suburbs of Rågsved, Hagsätra, Hökarängen and more than 60 other locations have been added to the list of monitored locations. The surveillance program was initially authorized until May 31, but has now been extended until January 8 next year. (Related: Sweden goes from being one of the safest countries in Europe to the second most dangerous.) Stefan Singman, the head of the police camera surveillance section, acknowledged the concerning trend in Stockholm and emphasized the need for a prolonged and dedicated approach to combat crime effectively. "This is a worrying development we have seen in Stockholm. In order to get rid of crime, we will probably have to keep going for a long time," Singman said.

Gang-related killings associated with increasing number of immigrants in Sweden

The initiation of the UAS surveillance program was in response to a surge in gang-related killings in 2022, which has been associated with the increasing number of immigrants in the country. Once known for its low crime rate, Sweden now has a murder rate well above the European average. Social unrest, arson attacks and riots have become recurring problems in the country. According to a Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention report, Sweden has experienced the highest number of firearm-related deaths in Europe in the past 15 years. This was based on an analysis of data from 22 European countries provided by Eurostat and the World Health Organization (WHO). Most of the victims are men between the ages of 20 and 30. The increase in such incidents is associated with immigration. This is evident in gang wars and so-called "honor crimes" to defend a family's reputation. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson has acknowledged the failure of multiculturalism under her administration and expressed concerns about the weakening of Swedish society, which she believes has led to a significant increase in crime rates. During her speech in 2022, Andersson admitted that integration efforts were inadequate and that the country had experienced high levels of immigration. She emphasized that the Swedish society was not sufficiently strong, and the funding allocated to the police and social services was insufficient. The prime minister also highlighted the existence of parallel societies in Sweden, where different realities coexist despite being part of the same country. The adoption of multiculturalism by Riksdag, Sweden's parliament, resulted in a 300 percent increase in violent crimes. Additionally, rape cases rose by a staggering 1,472 percent as Sweden ranked second globally in terms of countries plagued by rape after Lesotho in South Africa. In 2021, Sweden experienced a record number of shootings, with 46 fatalities in 335 incidents nationwide. Most of these shootings occurred in cities such as Malmo, Gothenburg and Stockholm. The inability of Swedish law enforcement to effectively combat the escalating crime committed by migrant gangs has contributed to Sweden's second-place ranking in gun crimes, surpassed only by Croatia.
