SHAMELESS: Biden's DHS appoints ex-intel "gaslighters" as "Homeland Intelligence Experts"

In a press release dated September 19, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas, Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) Ken Wainstein, and Counterterrorism Coordinator Nicholas Rasmussen announced the establishment of "Homeland Intelligence Experts" group. The team, which consists of 17 members, will "provide advice and perspectives on intelligence and national security efforts to the Office of Intelligence and Analysis and the Office of Counterterrorism Coordinator to support DHS' vital work to protect our country," the statement included. "The security of the American people depends on our capacity to collect, generate, and disseminate actionable intelligence to our federal, state, local, territorial, tribal, campus, and private sector partners," said Mayorkas. "I express my deep gratitude to these distinguished individuals for dedicating their exceptional expertise, experience, and vision to our critical mission," he added. The DHS's group of private-sector "experts" will meet four times per year, and will "leverage the expertise of each member to provide input on I&A's most complex problems and challenges, including terrorism, fentanyl, transborder issues, and emerging technology." Critics could not help but notice "a vested hidden agenda" in the establishment of this new group. The New York Post commented that the federal agency is meant to help better spread disinformation as "it just made wise picks in three expert ex-intel gaslighters: John Brennan, James Clapper and Paul Kolbe." Clapper, who is CNN National Security Analyst and former Director of National Intelligence, Kolbe, the Senior Fellow of the Intelligence Project and former Central Intelligence Agency's (CIA's) Operations Officer, and Brennan, a Fordham University School of Law Distinguished Fellow and former CIA Director were all named to the "Experts Group." They are three former officials who signed onto the October 2020 letter calling Hunter Biden's "laptop from Hell" as having "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation." Their statement shielded President Joe Biden on the eve of the 2020 election, helping him win. Hunter's laptop contents were authenticated by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the New York Times, Washington Post, CBS News, and other media outlets. There is currently no evidence suggesting the laptop was actually a Russian disinformation operation. The Post added how Brennan is a particularly egregious liar as even the left accused him of lying repeatedly about the CIA's drone program and the Osama bin Laden raid. He also lied to Congress at least twice: Once in denying CIA hacking of Senate computers and later in claiming the bogus Steele dossier wasn't a key part of the Russia Collusion probe. Moreover, Clapper fibbed to Congress in 2013, claiming the government collected no bulk data on Americans. He lied again later in claiming he never leaked info on the Steele dossier (though he eventually 'fessed up). "Their records fit nicely with a president who rarely goes a day without spewing falsehoods and an administration aggressively trying to censor social media posts," the news outlet opined. "Brennan, Clapper, and Kolbe will fit right in at DHS; as for the department's claim they'll help on real issues, like terrorism and fentanyl, don't be surprised if that turns out to be disinfo, too."

White House directs MSM to heighten scrutiny of GOP's Biden impeachment plan

The said move of including "spies" into a group of experts to recommend intelligence and national security advice suits an administration that directs the mainstream media to attack the GOP movements, including an impeachment inquiry. (Related: Republicans have a brand-new reason to impeach DHS chief Alejandro Mayorkas.) The White House sent a letter to top U.S. news executives last week, urging them to intensify their scrutiny of House Republicans after Speaker Kevin McCarthy launched an impeachment inquiry into Biden. "It's time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies," Ian Sams, a spokesperson for the White House Counsel's Office, wrote in the letter. The letter, which said an impeachment inquiry with no supporting evidence should "set off alarm bells for news organizations," was sent to executives helming the nation's largest news organizations, including CNN, the New York Times, Fox News, the Associated Press, CBS News, and others, a White House official familiar with the matter said. It was not even a surprise that most of the outlets complied with the directive.
