The Sheriff Mack Show: U.S. government is the greatest purveyor of VIOLENCE in the world – Brighteon.TV

Sheriff Richard Mack and Sam Bushman have asserted that the American government is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world. The two elaborated on this assertion during the Jan. 16 episode of "The Sheriff Mack Show" on Brighteon.TV. Mack cited an article he wrote titled "The Greatest Purveyor of Violence In The World," which was published in the website of his group, the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA). The piece discussed the April 1967 speech of Dr. Martin Luther King at the Riverside Church in New York City. "I knew that I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world – my own government. If America's soul becomes totally poisoned, part of the autopsy must read 'Vietnam,'" the civil rights leader said at the time. The former sheriff of Graham County in Arizona said Americans ought to focus on what King meant. People could point a finger at both the government corruption and political corruption. Mack added that this applies to both major parties, something he described as part of the problem. "The political structure is part of the problem; [George] Washington warned us that a two-party system would kill our country [and] would be the bane of American liberty," he said. Mack continued that after King gave the speech, the national media and politicians enraged by his remarks attacked him. Former President Lyndon B. Johnson was among those who attacked the civil rights leader as King exposed the dishonesty that justified the Vietnam War. According to the Brighteon.TV host, Johnson kept America in Vietnam and sent over 500,000 troops to the Southeast Asian country. This served two purposes – to bolster his political reputation and to support the military industrial complex. The Democratic former president's willingness to sacrifice troops, money and equipment was illegal and unnecessary.

King's Riverside Church speech never came out until now

Mack also lamented that the 1967 speech never came out until 57 years later – to which Bushman responded. "Why don't they release it? Because you'll know the truth if they do that," he told Mack. According to the co-host, the Riverside Church speech does not fit the narrative and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has not released all the records related to King's assassination. (Related: Steve Bannon says Trump will declassify assassination documents on JFK, RFK, Malcolm X, and MLK Jr.) The sheriff agreed with Bushman's remarks and mentioned that the King family believes that James Earl Ray, MLK's supposed assassin, didn't do it. He cited a meeting between MLK's son Dexter (who recently died of prostate cancer at age 62) and Ray while the latter was in prison. Dexter asked the assassin if he killed his father, to which Ray answered in the negative. Ray was dying of cancer at the time of the meeting, and Dexter gave him a chance to repent. MLK was assassinated one year after giving the Riverside Church speech. He was killed on April 4, 1968 at the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis. Mack ended the show by explaining that he wrote the article for the lying leftist media and to all the people who admire MLK and love his legacy.
