Roger Stone: Trump needs to run with someone who has the temperament and judgment of a "to-be president" – definitely not Nikki Haley

Former President Donald Trump has easily won the GOP primaries in major states, Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada. Now, people are curious as to who he'd pick as his running mate. Renowned and bestselling author Roger Stone quoted former President Richard Nixon who told him that choosing a running mate is not just about selecting someone who can help, but somebody who would not hurt you. "That may be somewhat cynical, but it's pretty good advice," Stone told Mike Adams in a recent episode of the "Health Ranger Report." "Trump needs someone who first and foremost has the experience, qualifications, temperament and judgment of a to-be president. They also have to commit to the America-first anti-globalist agenda. Those are the highest requirements." When considering the political aspect, the pundit added that Trump would need someone who doesn't upset his base of supporters, but allows him to reach out to a voter group where he can make gains. He needs to pick someone who's anti-war, wants to seal the border without any question, and someone who will not send billions more to Ukraine just to be stolen or wasted. "His running mate could be an African American, Hispanic or a woman. I think Trump's got a lot of great choices. He's the greatest showman of all time. He understands that this is a matter of great public interest. He's going to teach it right up until the moment he's made a decision," Stone said. The campaign expert thinks Trump has not made a decision yet. Both Adams and Stone agreed that the candidate should not be former United States ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley. "Why is she still even in the race?" Adams wondered. Stone quipped: "She's being used to try to damage Trump. There are two possibilities. First, to continue to attack Trump to try to assist President Joe Biden. And who knows? Maybe she gets a cabinet position out of Biden or whoever the ultimate Democrat is. Second, she thinks she can force her way onto the ticket that Trump will say, 'Well, the way to bind up the divisions in the party is to take this neocon for vice president.'" Stone warned that Trump should have a "food taster" because Haley is completely duplicitous. "She looked at Trump in the eye and said, 'Mr. President, you are among our greatest presidents. If you run again, I'm not going to run.' But she still ran and that tells everything you need to know. Her word is no good and her worldview is the same as Lindsey Graham's. Bomb now ask questions later," he said about the senator's suggestion to exterminate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran. Stone: Trump will win comfortably in an honest election

Stone is pretty confident that Trump will win comfortably if Democrats would not do anything to cheat and steal the presidential election. "He would win the popular vote nationally. Polls are a measure of a snapshot of time that it's the epicenter of time and things can change dramatically," he told Adams when asked about Trump's chances of winning the presidential seat. "They know that so if you have some staged terrorist attack on American soil, that could change things. But if this election were held at this moment, Trump would win every swing state by a margin slightly larger than the margin of error in all of these polls. He would sweep the popular vote as well. If we have a free, fair, honest, transparent election, Trump would win comfortably." He pointed out that despite Biden getting much of the votes in the Democratic primaries, like 97 percent in South Carolina, the overall turnout was extraordinarily anemic. "Nobody showed up to vote because there was no enthusiasm for the Biden candidacy." Also, Republicans are more prepared to tackle any situation that would endanger Trump's victory. They will be far more prepared both legally and technically to ferret out irregularities and anomalies on election night. "They're not going to get away with locking Republican observers out of the polling places and dumping a bunch of fake ballots like they did in Michigan," Stone said.
