Benjamin Netanyahu's son LIVING IN LUXURY in Florida while thousands of Israelis are called to rejoin IDF

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's son Yair has been spotted at a luxury condo complex in Florida, refusing to return to Israel despite being qualified to return to service with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Yair, who at one point allegedly referred to himself as Israel's Prince Harry, is 32 years old and qualifies for service as a reservist with the IDF until he turns 40. Yair's refusal to return to Israel stands in stark contrast to the fact that as many as 360,000 other Israeli expatriates have answered the call to return to Israel to sign up for reserve duty with the IDF. Instead of returning to duty, Yair spends his days living in a luxury, two-bed, apartment in Hallandale Beach, north of Miami. Photos taken by the Daily Mail show Yair lounging in his apartment balcony sipping drinks and entertaining friends. (Related: Netanyahu: Israel to take over "security" in Gaza after the Israel-Hamas war.) The apartments in the building cost between $4,200 to $17,000 a month to rent. The Daily Mail indicates that Yair's specific condo unit costs around $5,000 a month, although it is unclear who is footing the bill. The complex has tennis courts, a spa, a game lounge, a private cinema, a wine cellar, a cigar room and is a 15-minute walk from the beach and is right next to a golf course.

Prime minister's son acting as mouthpiece for Netanyahu's government

Israeli outlets noted that the prime minister's son is living the life of royalty while spending his time on social media attacking his father's critics. In the aftermath of Hamas' Oct. 7 terrorist attack in southern Israel, the younger Netanyahu made himself known for his very combative social media presence, leading to him being sued multiple times and being ordered to pay out hundreds of thousands of Israeli new shekels for defamation and other offenses. This larger-than-life public presence has even given rise to rumors that his extremist views have been influencing his father's policies. "He likes to wage war – but via social media," noted Uri Misgav, a journalist for Israeli newspaper of record Haaretz and a longtime critic of the prime minister. "He is the lazy bum son who is partying in Miami while his prime minister father urges ordinary Israelis to sacrifice their own sons and lives." Before the Oct. 7 attack, Yair was reportedly residing in the United States and was hoping to gain a green card. In the immediate aftermath of the attack he remained in the U.S. but, amid criticism, he eventually flew back to Israel to volunteer with the United Hatzalah volunteer-based emergency medical services organization, reportedly manning telephones during a fundraiser at the end of November. He reportedly returned to his luxury condo in Miami by mid-March, but it is unclear when exactly he left Israel. According to reports, Yair left after he was banned by his father from posting on social media for inflaming tensions in Israel and exacerbating a diplomatic rift with the United States. In a statement, a spokesperson for the Netanyahu family bashed media reports as "agenda-driven political hit pieces." "It's clear this is … aimed at tarnishing Israel's right-wing prime minister during wartime by attacking his family," said the spokesperson who touted Yair's volunteer work and fundraising efforts. "Yair spends his life defending Israel in the international arena, including in interviews, speeches and social media."
