Majority of Biden voters would approve of activating the 25th Amendment to remove him from office
Democrats are interested in activating the 25th Amendment
to remove President Joe Biden from office.
This is according to a July 11 article published in
Newsweek that reported that more Biden voters are leaning toward using the 25th Amendment as
the only path to save the country.
The media outlet contracted Redfield & Wilton Strategies to conduct a survey, which found that a majority – 51 percent – of the 1,500 eligible voters polled said they either support or strongly support using the 25th Amendment to remove Biden from office over concerns regarding his ability to carry out his duties.
The 25th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States allows sitting presidents to be removed from office if the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet inform Congress that they believe the president is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office."
If such a removal attempt is successfully made, Vice President Kamala Harris would then serve as acting president.
The poll, when broken down further, shows that 41 percent of Biden voters at the last election would support using the amendment to force Biden out of the White House, in comparison with 34 percent who would oppose such a move.
A lot of Republicans have talked about the possibility of invoking the 25th Amendment amidst concerns about Biden's cognitive health in the wake of his alarming June 27 presidential debate performance against former President Donald Trump.
Many Democrats, including members of Congress, have asked Biden to end his 2024 reelection campaign after his awkward debate performance in order to give the party a better chance of defeating Trump in November. (Related:

The weakened debate performance arrived after the 81-year-old Biden had already confronted worries that he was too old to run for a second term in office.
60 percent of Americans are now more worried about Biden's readiness for office
The Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll also discovered that 60 percent of Americans are now more worried about Biden's readiness for office than they were before the debate.
More than half (56 percent) agreed with the opinion that Biden is presently not mentally or physically capable of performing his duties as president.
Fifty-six percent of 2020 Biden voters support the president ending his 2024 campaign, while only 20 percent of them oppose it.
"These are Biden voters. And so, these polls last week that were doing President Biden, President Trump in a dead heat. Don't you believe it," said Raymond Burkhart, co-host of the "TruNews" podcast.
Podcast host Rick Wiles commented the Biden voters are running away, and people are now seeing Democrats who are no longer voting for Biden especially with the plan to use the 25th Amendment.
Wiles believes Biden has only a few weeks left in
the White House, and Democratic leaders who are really controlling the federal government are likely negotiating with other high-ranking Democrats and members of the Cabinet to remove him from office.
According to Wiles, Biden will almost certainly be removed from power and the presidential race by the time the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August rolls around.
"He needs to leave. I don't think they're going to pressure him to resign the presidency. I think they just want him to drop out of the race. They're not going to pressure him to resign from the White House until something really shocking happens in his behavior where it's so obvious the guy can't function as the president," Wiles said.
"I think they just want to get him to the finish line to get him out of the race if he doesn't back down."
