Iran accused of supplying Hezbollah with EMP WEAPONS that can disable Israeli military tech almost instantly
Iran is being accused of
delivering electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapons to Hezbollah.
The
Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) reported that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) recently delivered a shipment of so-called "qualitative weapons" to Hezbollah in Lebanon as the militant group
prepares for a possible invasion by Israel.
"We might see the first active use [of an EMP weapon]," warned Raymond Burkhart, co-host of the "TruNews" podcast. "I believe that they have been used before, but the first active use of weapons in a theater of war."
JNS accused Hezbollah of preparing to use the EMP weapons not in defense of southern Lebanon in case of a possible Israeli attack, but as weapons to be used offensively in a Hezbollah invasion of Israel's northern Galilee region and the Golan Heights.
The
JNS report claimed its source is a high-ranking official within the IRGC's special forces unit, the Quds Force, which claimed that Tehran successfully delivered EMP weaponry capable of severely devastating Israel's radar and communications infrastructure.
"What [the
JNS report] is saying is the moment Israel launches the attack against Hezbollah and Lebanon. Hezbollah is going to unleash the EMP weapons against Israel, inside Israeli territory and also occupied Israeli territory," said Rick Wiles, main host of the "TruNews" podcast.
JNS's IRGC source claimed that Hezbollah is seeking to employ the support of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as the Houthi movement in Yemen to open a multi-front war against Israel which will see Israel attacked from the north, west, southeast and southwest.
EMP weapon could provide Hezbollah with significant advantage over Israeli military tech
If the presence of EMP weapons in Hezbollah's hands is confirmed it would radically alter the balance of power in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, which the latter claims is all Israel's fault due to its invasion of Gaza.
The report warned that, within minutes of an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) military operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, the militant group could launch EMP bombs from stationary launchers or drones to target sites deep within Israel to "destroy all communications systems, including … electricity infrastructure."
EMP weapons could also deny Israel access to
its more sophisticated military equipment that rely heavily on electronic systems, including much of the Israeli Air Force, denying Israel aerial superiority and giving the advantage to Hezbollah's massive fleet of drones.
If the Western world, notably the United Kingdom and the United States, attempts to come to Israel's aid, the JNS report warned that EMP weapons could also be used against them. (Related:

The power of an EMP attack is equal to that of a nuclear attack and would disable all electricity infrastructure and electronic devices in its area of effect. While EMP explosions themselves will cause no immediate deaths, the loss of electronic infrastructure can bring destructive consequences.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant had been authorized by the country's war cabinet to decide the timing and scope of any such attack on Lebanon. The possible invasion of southern Lebanon could happen any day now.
