Kamala's CNN interview heavily edited and released without a transcript

Vice President Kamala Harris' first media interview, done 40 days after she became the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, apparently went so bad that it was massively edited and truncated to just 18 minutes. CNN did not even release a transcript of the interview. During her pre-taped exclusive interview with Dana Bash, Harris was "chaperoned" by her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. Critics say the severely edited interview only means that her guesting didn't go well. "Hearing that @CNN will NOT be releasing the full transcript of all 18 minutes (total) of the interview with Kamala Harris and Human Blocking Dummy Coach Walz. What's being cut out???" asked former president and Republican presidential bet Donald Trump's adviser Jason Miller on X. Prior to the interview's airing, an excerpt came out in which Bash asked Harris if voters should trust her since she's flip-flopped on so many topics. Harris said she hadn't changed positions. "How should voters look at some of the changes that you've made?" Bash asked Harris. "Is it because you have more experience now and you've learned more about the information? Is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you're saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?" Harris answered: "I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed. You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed – and I have worked on it – that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time." Meanwhile, a previous report claimed the Harris-Walz campaign ordered CNN not to release the full transcript of the interview.

Trump slams "defective" Harris following her TV interview

Former President Donald Trump criticized Harris after her recent interview with CNN, calling her "defective." "I think she would've been better off if she just did interviews, even if they weren't great it woulda been better … because now everyone's watching and now we see, she's defective," Trump said. He added that America does not need another defective person as president of the country, alluding to current President Joe Biden, who dropped out of the race last month due to pressure from his political party. "We just had that." Trump and his allies also criticized CNN for pre-taping the interview instead of airing it live as a way to cover up potential Harris slipups. During a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, Trump briefly commented on the interview. "Did you see her on television last night? This is gonna be the president of our country? I don't think so." (Related: TRULY CLUELESS: Kamala Harris still has no policies on website after Democratic Convention.) Trump's running mate J.D. Vance also denounced Harris' CNN appearance, posting on X a video of the infamous 2007 Miss South Carolina dumb answer meme and captioning it with: "The full Kamala Harris CNN interview."
