Russia says U.S. waging war on free speech after new sanctions imposed on RT

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova is promising retaliation against the West for its most recent round of sanctions against RT and other Russian news outlets. Calling the new sanctions a declaration of war against free speech, Zakharova described what U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is doing as "repressions unprecedented in scale." Blinken accused RT and other Russian news outlets of engaging in "covert influence activities" in Washington while "functioning as a de facto arm of Russian intelligence." In other words, RT is doing something right and the West does not like it one bit. At the start of September, Washington decided that RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan and three other senior RT employees are trying to influence the outcome of the 2024 presidential campaign. Since only Washington is allowed to engage in election interference, something had to be done to stop Russian media from having a voice in the West. "The U.S. has declared war on freedom of speech throughout the world, turning to open threats and blackmail against other states in an effort to set them against the domestic media and establish sole control over the global information space," Zakharova said. Russia means business

For at least the past several years, Russia has been promising retaliation against the many, many red lines that the West has crossed in its efforts to destroy Russia and everything it is trying to do to root out the deep state hive that pollutes Ukraine and beyond. To accuse RT of interfering with the 2024 election when all Washington ever does is interfere with elections to achieve pre-determined outcomes is insanity, and Zakharova knows it. Zakharova called the accusations a "witch hunt" while charging Washington with creating "spy-o-mania" to try to stop public opinion from shifting against Western corruption. These are the last gasping breaths of a dying Western empire, by the way, and it has been a long time coming. James Rubin, the deep state hack who heads up the State Department's Global Engagement Center (GEC), complained to reporters this week that he feels as though RT has too much "broad scope and reach." And since the West is the world's self-appointed police officer, Rubin and his ilk feel entitled to control what the American public reads and watches online. The issue at hand for the West is the fact that nobody supports Ukraine or any other deep state tentacles anymore. Western propaganda failed to brainwash the current generation into supporting the evil deep state agenda, and those behind it are panicking. Rubin revealed that he and his ilk are investing a lot of energy into trying to brainwash the peoples of Latin America, Africa and Asia "to try to show all of those countries that right now broadcast, with no restrictions or control, RT and allow (RT) free access to their countries. In Rubin's opinion, allowing RT to publish content that is viewable in the United States and all around the world has "had a deleterious effect on the views of the rest of the world about a war that should be an open and shut case." Poor little Rubin. The only open and shut case here is the fact that he and his ilk are going down whether they like it or not. It is only a matter of when, not if. "The idea that you can't achieve results without being part of the intelligence service has exposed them for what they are," Zakharova noted about the dying Western-controlled globalist empire.
