MSNBC producer admits his network is helping the Harris campaign in undercover video
The mainstream media has made its liberal leanings obvious over the years, but now an
MSNBC insider has admitted that the network is doing everything it can to ensure Kamala Harris wins the presidency this November.
This revelation came in an
undercover video from the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) in which Basel Hamdan, a producer and writer for the
MSNBC weekend show "Ayman," explained how the network is supporting its preferred candidate.
Speaking to an undercover journalist who approached him on the dating app Bumble and went out with him while equipped with a hidden camera, Hamdan was asked
what MSNBC has been doing to help the Harris campaign.
“Amplify her [Kamala’s] message. What her message of the day is, is their message of the day,” he said.
In other words, the network is serving as an extension of the campaign, with Hamdan conceding that “
MSNBC is indistinguishable from the party.”
Moreover, he implied that
MSNBC hosts and Democratic politicians are pretty much one and the same, saying: “They just are way too cozy with the Democratic politicians. If you watch an interview with a Democratic politician, they just finish each other’s sentences. The anchor and the politician are in total agreement about everything.”
When his “date” asked him if
MSNBC is the Democratic Party’s mouthpiece, he answered “Exactly.”
He criticized his network for being “aligned too closely” with the Democratic Party and said that he believes they could benefit by acting more independently and telling the truth “from a progressive perspective” but without being tied to any political party.
MSNBC interviewer accused of asking Harris softball questions
It should come as no surprise that Harris gave her first solo one-on-one network interview as a 2024 presidential candidate to
MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle. That interview was widely criticized for its softball approach, with
Real Time host Bill Maher saying that he hadn’t been expecting the network to be “rubbing her feet.”
The network has had no shortage of anti-Trump headlines in recent days, such as “After Hurricane Helene, North Carolina needs help. Trump is offering lies.” and “Trump shares a deeply unsettling video that frames him as God’s chosen one.”
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk shared the clip with his millions of X followers with the caption “Obviously.” This prompted a slew of responses from other users, with one writing: “The media have become totally indistinguishable from the DNC establishment. Same people slotting into and out of each other's roles.”
Pershing Square Holdings CEO Bill Ackman also weighed in on the interview on X, asking: “Once a media organization becomes the voice of a presidential candidate shouldn’t they become subject to campaign finance limits and regulation?”
Hamdan says MSNBC has made its viewers "dumber" over the years
Hamdan also
insulted his network’s viewers, saying that the channel has “narrowed” their views and caused them to not only hate Republicans but also turn against moderate Democrats. After explaining that viewers get mad at hosts and guests who criticize Democrats, he stated: “I think brainwashing and dumbing down progressives helps Trump.”
He said
MSNBC has made viewers “dumber” throughout the years and engages in “bad journalism” in order to keep up with its progressive leanings.
Following the release of the video, Hamdan set his social media accounts to private and deleted his profile on LinkedIn.
