Volunteer doctors, nurses in Gaza tell Biden to WITHDRAW diplomatic and military support for Israel

U.S. doctors and nurses in Gaza have written to President Joe Biden claiming that the true death toll from Israel's months-long assault is much higher than previously reported, demanding the U.S. withdraw diplomatic and military support for Israel until there is a ceasefire. Forty-five surgeons, emergency room physicians and nurses who volunteered in several Gaza hospitals over the past few months presented what they described as the "massive human toll from Israel's attack on Gaza, especially the toll it has taken on women and children." (Related: Blinken buried reports indicating Israel blocked aid to Gaza so U.S. would keep sending them weapons.) "We cannot forget the scenes of unbearable cruelty directed at women and children that we witnessed ourselves," they wrote. "Every single signatory to this letter treated children in Gaza who suffered violence that must have been deliberately directed at them. Specifically, every one of us daily treated pre-teen children who were shot in the head." In an eight-page correspondence addressed to the president, First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the medical practitioners saw evidence of widespread violations of laws governing the use of U.S. weapons supplied to Israel and of international humanitarian law. "President Biden and Vice-President Harris, any solution to this problem must begin with an immediate and permanent ceasefire. We urge you to withhold military, economic and diplomatic support from the state of Israel and to participate in an international arms embargo of both Israel and all Palestinian armed groups until a permanent ceasefire is established and until good faith negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians lead to a permanent resolution of the conflict," they wrote.

American surgeons share horrible experience in Gaza

Meanwhile, two American surgeons who have worked for decades on volunteer programs in developing nations shared that their experience could not have prepared them for the horrors they witnessed in Gaza, accusing Israel of orchestrating genocide. Dr. Mark Perlmutter, president of the World Surgical Foundation, and Dr. Feroze Sidhwa, a trauma surgeon from California who has worked in Ukraine, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Zimbabwe, recently returned to the United States from a medical mission in Gaza. They shared eyewitness accounts of the routine execution of children and medical staff by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops in a Special Appeal to the United Nations. "What we found in Gaza is a society that has been entirely destroyed," Sidhwa said, adding that "everyone we encountered, from newborns to the elderly, is malnourished." The water, according to him, was chemically poisoned. The doctors also lamented "attacks on the healthcare infrastructure and healthcare workers," including torture, abduction and torment of doctors, nurses and medical students. Heads of hospital departments received "constant death threats" from the Israelis, Sidhwa said. But what bothered them most was that 90 percent of the victims were children. According to Perlmutter, the majority of patients arriving on gurneys were children – toddlers, teenagers and infants. On four gurneys, he said, "we would have 12 to 15 kids," with up to four children on each gurney. "A third were dead, a third were dying in front of us and a third would make it to the operating room," he added. He added that 80 percent of those he took to the operating room were children and the remaining 20 percent of victims were often other healthcare workers, as well as mothers and the elderly. "No child gets shot twice by a sniper by mistake," Perlmutter added. "I also saw 13 children who were shot in the head," said Sidhwa. Visit Evil.news for similar stories.
