ANOTHER MEDIA HOAX: General John Kelly is LYING about Donald Trump supposedly praising Adolf Hitler

Former President Donald Trump is being accused of praising Nazi German dictator and genocidaire Adolf Hitler. This claim has been refuted by former Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, who was in the room when the statements praising Hitler allegedly happened. The accusation comes from retired United States Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly, who between 2017 and 2019 served as White House chief of staff for Trump. In an interview with the New York Times earlier this month, Kelly claimed that Trump "made admiring statements" about Hitler. "He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things too,'" Kelly claimed, adding that Trump allegedly remarked positively on how Hitler "rebuilt the economy." The general added that he believed this "admiration" for Hitler came from Trump's supposed lack of appreciation for history. "I think he's lacking in that." Another supposed revelation about the former president, coming from authors Peter Baker and Susan Glasser in their book "The Divider: Trump in the White House," is that Trump allegedly asked Kelly why U.S. Armed Forces generals can't be more like Hitler's generals. "Why can't you be like the German generals?" Trump allegedly told Kelly. "Hitler's generals … They were totally loyal to him… I need the kind of generals that Hitler had. People who were totally loyal to him, that follow orders."

Ayers: Kelly's accusations against Trump are false

Nick Ayers, who served as Pence's chief of staff from 2017 to 2019, recently came out to say that Kelly's accusations against Trump are false. "I've avoided commenting on intra-staff leaks or rumors or even lies as it relates to my time at the White House but General Kelly's comments regarding President Trump are too egregious to ignore," said Ayers. "I was with each of them more than most, and his [Kelly's] commentary is patently false." Ayers then went on to Fox News to directly address the accusations, calling Kelly a member of the "military-industrial complex" who was only angered by the fact that Trump fired him and did not serve the interests of the defense industry. "I'm responding to one general who made egregious comments that are simply not true, that are manufactured. If they were true, obviously the American people would have known about it before then," said Ayers. "You all know how the White House was covered, there were no secrets at that White House related to what the president was saying or thinking." Kelly's accusations against Trump were immediately picked up by Democrats, with Vice President Kamala Harris going so far as to call Trump a traitor to the U.S. Constitution. "Donald Trump said that because he does not want a military that is loyal to the United States Constitution; he wants a military that is loyal to him," claimed Harris. Trump, meanwhile, has denied all of the accusations against him, saying that Kelly "made up a story." His presidential campaign team has also denied Kelly's accounts of conversations with Trump. Campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said Kelly had "beclowned himself with these debunked stories he has fabricated."
