  • The Patient First Coalition (PFC) has been launched to support Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s nomination as the head of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
  • The coalition consists of 16 subject area experts and 15 Lead Ambassadors working with over 200 ambassadors and operated a real-time war room during Kennedy's confirmation hearings to put pressure on Republican Senators.
  • The PFC aims to be the largest and strongest outside group advocating for Kennedy's nomination and the Make America Healthy Agenda (MAHA) over the next four years.
  • Kennedy emphasized during his confirmation hearing that addressing the chronic disease epidemic and the MAHA initiative is his primary goal, arguing that other healthcare debates are insignificant without solving the core issue.
  • If confirmed, Kennedy would oversee several key agencies, including the CMS, FDA, CDC and NIH, to implement his vision for health reform and address the chronic disease epidemic.
A new coalition group named The Patient First Coalition (PFC) has been launched to support Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s nomination to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The PFC, managed by a national association management firm with four senior operatives, including Shannon Burns, Matt Mackowiak, Jim Frogue and Jeff Kanter, consists of 16 members made up of renowned subject area experts from all aspects of health and wellness, along with 15 lead ambassadors working directly with over 200 subject area ambassadors. This coalition aims to be the largest and strongest outside group urging support for Kennedy's nomination and the Make America Healthy Agenda (MAHA) over the next four years. According to a press release, the PFC operated a real-time war room during the confirmation hearings and work of Kennedy to put pressure on Republican Senators who are uncommitted on voting in favor of his nomination through grassroots activism and earned media. Matt Mackowiak, one of the four senior operatives leading PFC, revealed that the PFC will work to promote what "HHS Secretary designee Kennedy actually believes and what the Trump MAHA agenda actually is." "Powerful interests have gotten fat and happy off the misery of millions of Americans," Mackowiak added. "It is time for the silent majority to get loud and demand change. We will help them make their voices heard."

Senate confirmation hearings of Kennedy coincide with the launch of PFC

The launch of PFC coincided with the start of Kennedy's confirmation hearings before the Senate on Jan. 29. During the confirmation hearing, Kennedy explained that his primary goal is to address the chronic disease epidemic and Make America Healthy Again (MAHA), a mission he described as a priority for Trump. He argued that without solving the fundamental health issue, other debates about who should pay for healthcare are merely re-arranging problems, much like moving deck chairs on a sinking Titanic. He pointed out that these discussions are insignificant if the core healthcare issue is left unresolved, as it will ultimately lead to a catastrophic failure of the healthcare system. "And if we don't solve that problem, senator, all of the other disputes we have about who's paying and whether it's insurance companies, whether it's providers, whether it's HMOs, whether it's patients or families, all of those are moving deck chairs around on the Titanic," Kennedy said, adding that, "Our ship is sinking." If confirmed as the head of HHS, Kennedy would be in charge of overseeing several key agencies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health.
