Zelensky's reign nears its END as Trump clash exposes Ukrainian leader's motives as "impediment to peace"
• Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s refusal to negotiate peace with Russia during a heated White House meeting with Donald Trump has exposed his role as a destabilizing force in the region.
• Former CIA analyst John Kiriakou declares Zelensky “done,” predicting his removal from power within months.
• Trump accuses Zelensky of “overplaying his hand” and prioritizing endless conflict over peace, signaling a potential end to U.S. support for Ukraine.
Zelensky’s refusal to negotiate exposes his true agenda
The political career of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky
appears to be hanging by a thread after a disastrous meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday. The encounter, which ended abruptly without a signed agreement or joint press conference, revealed Zelensky’s unwillingness to negotiate peace with Russia, further isolating him on the global stage. Former CIA analyst John Kiriakou, speaking to
RT, declared Zelensky an “impediment to peace” and suggested his removal is imminent.
The meeting, held at the White House, quickly devolved into a verbal sparring match as Trump pressed Zelensky to commit to peace talks with Russia. Zelensky’s resistance to the proposal led Trump to accuse him of ingratitude and a reckless desire to prolong the conflict. The Ukrainian leader’s refusal to sign an agreement granting the U.S. access to Ukraine’s natural resources further soured the relationship, leaving Zelensky to exit the White House prematurely.
Zelensky’s refusal to engage in peace talks with Russia has drawn sharp criticism from both sides of the political aisle. Kiriakou, a seasoned intelligence analyst, noted that Zelensky’s reliance on martial law to avoid elections and consolidate power has made him a liability in the eyes of the international community. “For all intents and purposes, Zelensky is done,” Kiriakou stated. “I wouldn’t be surprised if in three months Zelensky is living in London or some such place.”
The former CIA analyst also highlighted the Ukrainian constitution’s provision allowing the suspension of elections during martial law, a loophole Zelensky has exploited to maintain his grip on power. “Maybe it’s time to take a second look at that, get him out, and elect somebody who can negotiate in good faith with the Russian government,” Kiriakou suggested.
Zelensky’s arrogant stance has not only alienated Trump but also cost him the support of key U.S. allies, including Senator Lindsey Graham, a staunch advocate for Ukraine. Graham’s call for Zelensky to resign and “send somebody over that we can do business with” highlights the growing frustration with the Ukrainian leader’s intransigence.
Trump’s ultimatum: Peace or no U.S. support
In a blunt post-meeting statement, Trump made it clear that the U.S. will no longer tolerate Zelensky’s refusal to pursue peace. “We’re looking for peace,” Trump told reporters. “We’re not looking for somebody that’s going to sign up a strong power and then not make peace because they feel emboldened… He’s looking to go on and fight, fight, fight. We’re looking to end the deaths.”
Trump’s remarks reflect a broader shift in U.S. policy, one that prioritizes de-escalation over endless military entanglements. The president argued that continued U.S. support would only embolden Zelensky to prolong the conflict, a scenario he is unwilling to entertain. “We’re not looking to go into a 10-year war,” Trump said.
The U.S. president also contrasted Zelensky’s belligerence with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s
apparent willingness to negotiate. “Unlike Zelensky, Putin seems willing to make peace,” Trump noted, signaling a potential pivot in U.S. foreign policy.
Zelensky’s political downfall appears inevitable as he loses the support of his most powerful backers. Kiriakou’s assessment that the conflict is “over” underscores the gravity of the situation. “He can’t rely on NATO… if the U.S. pulls out. And it looks very much that the U.S. is in the process now of pulling out,” Kiriakou said.
The Ukrainian leader’s refusal to step down, despite mounting pressure, has only deepened the crisis. In a recent interview with
Fox News, Zelensky dismissed calls for his resignation, stating he would only leave office if asked by the Ukrainian people. However, with the U.S. and its allies withdrawing their support, Zelensky’s days in power are numbered.
The days of Zelensky's celebrity status are coming to end. It's time to put an end to Zelensky's grifting and his exploitation of the US Treasury. The US is on the right track, re-establishing diplomacy with Russia, ending the baseless threats against Russia, and refusing to prop up a dictator in Ukraine who is hellbent on pushing NATO to Russia's border to start WW3.
