White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller has charged that LA mayor Karen Bass is openly threatening to allow the violence against ICE agents to continue happening in the city. Miller further asserted “Los Angeles and California are demanding the nullification of the election results, of federal law, of national sovereignty, and of the bedrock constitutional command of one national government.” There is a federal law to deal with insurrection, you may have heard of it. President Trump again stated Tuesday that he will invoke the Insurrection Act if the rioting escalates. “If there’s an insurrection, I would certainly invoke it…If we didn’t get involved, right now Los Angeles would be burning just like it was burning a number of months ago…We are not playing around…” Trump proclaimed.
