Global childhood vaccination coverage has stalled in recent years, according to new data released by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF. The 2024 report reveals that 14.3 million children worldwide were classified as “zero-dose,” meaning they are “fully unvaccinated” and had not received a single routine vaccine. This figure has remained largely unchanged since 2022, when 14.5 million children fell into this category.
