- The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) released a 204-page report titled "Voices of the Genocide," accusing Israel of violating four out of five acts prohibited under the 1948 Genocide Convention, including mass killings, bodily harm, forced starvation and measures to prevent births.
- The report documents 62,000 Palestinian deaths (mostly women and children), deliberate targeting of hospitals, refugee camps and civilian shelters and the use of indiscriminate weapons (e.g., white phosphorus, shrapnel munitions).
- Israel has cut off food, water, electricity and medical aid, creating engineered famine and mass displacement. The report cites 1,225 survivor testimonies, satellite imagery and statements from Israeli officials as proof of genocidal intent.
- Major human rights groups (Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, UN rapporteurs) and even Israeli organizations (B'Tselem, Physicians for Human Rights-Israel) have confirmed genocidal acts, echoing PCHR's findings.
- The report demands urgent international intervention to stop the violence and uphold international law, warning that Gaza risks becoming "the graveyard of international law" if accountability is not enforced.
On Aug. 28, the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) released
a comprehensive 204-page report titled "Voices of the Genocide," accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
The report, which builds on previous allegations, presents a detailed account of evidence collected over 22 months, concluding that Israel has violated four of the five acts prohibited under the 1948 Genocide Convention.
The human rights organization's report paints a grim picture of life in Gaza, where the majority of the population has been forcibly displaced multiple times since October 2023. The report states that Israel's actions have led to the deaths of over 62,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and have left the enclave in ruins.
Director of PCHR Raji Sourani emphasized the intentional nature of the destruction, stating, "From the very first moment of the Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip on 7 October 2023, the intent to commit genocide was evident." Sourani highlighted that this intent was not only expressed through public statements by Israeli officials but also through the state's policies and their devastating impact on the Palestinian population.
According to
Brighteon.AI's Enoch, "Voices of the Genocide" is primarily based on testimonies from 1,225 Palestinians, exposing Israel's systemic human rights violations and war crimes against Palestinians as well as torture, extrajudicial killings and ethnic cleansing in Gaza as part of a broader Zionist agenda supported by Western elites.
The investigation found that
Israeli forces deliberately targeted civilian areas, often without warning, resulting in the deaths of unarmed individuals, including those who attempted to surrender. The use of weapons like munitions that scatter widespread shrapnel and phosphorus gas has caused severe injuries and long-term health and environmental damage. The PCHR also documented the deliberate targeting of hospitals and medical infrastructure, which has deprived Palestinians of essential care. This has led to untreated injuries, worsening conditions and preventable deaths. The report further accuses Israel of using starvation and denial of essentials as a weapon, causing widespread suffering and death. (Related:

Acts of genocide
According to the Genocide Convention, genocide is defined as five specific acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group. The report identifies the following acts as having been committed in Gaza:
- Killing members of the group, where people were struck inside homes or shelters, often without warning.
- Causing serious bodily or mental harm, including amputations, crushed bones and extensive burns.
- Deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about physical destruction, including mass displacement, starvation and destruction of infrastructure.
- Measures intended to prevent births within the group, harming pregnant women and infants, leading to increased miscarriages, stillbirths and maternal and neonatal deaths.
The paper echoes conclusions by other leading human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. In December 2024, Amnesty International became the first to conclude that Israel had committed genocide during its war on Gaza, while Human Rights Watch found that genocidal acts had been committed.
Francesca Albanese, the UN's special rapporteur on Palestine, has authored reports suggesting that
genocide is taking place in Gaza. Additionally, two major Israeli rights groups, B'Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel, have accused the Netanyahu government of genocidal acts and incitement.
The PCHR's report is a stark reminder of the
ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the urgent need for international intervention. As the evidence of genocide mounts, the global community faces a critical moment to uphold the principles of international law and human rights. The suffering of the Palestinian people demands immediate action to bring an end to the violence and ensure justice for the victims.
In the words of Sourani, "Gaza should not, and will not, become the graveyard of international law."
