  • The second Trump administration has achieved six consecutive months with zero migrant releases into the U.S. interior, marking an unprecedented enforcement record.
  • In October 2025, migrant apprehensions nationwide plummeted to 30,561 – a 79 percent decrease from the previous year – with only 106,134 arrests recorded in Trump's first nine months back in office.
  • Under Trump's leadership, CBP and DHS have ended catch-and-release, ensuring all apprehended migrants are processed under the law while expanding physical barriers and targeting cartels.
  • Polls show 52 percent of Americans back mass deportations, with 51 percent agreeing the government is removing those who "should be deported," reflecting widespread approval of Trump's tough stance.
  • The administration's success has deterred illegal immigration, signaling that the U.S. is no longer a magnet for unchecked migration and prioritizing security, economic stability and immigration law integrity.
In an unprecedented streak, the Trump administration's border policy has delivered six consecutive months with zero migrant releases into the United States, marking a historic milestone in border security. This remarkable achievement, coupled with record-low apprehensions in October, underscores the administration's commitment to enforcing immigration laws and protecting American citizens. Under President Donald Trump's leadership in his second term, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has seen a significant decline in migrant apprehensions. Breitbart News reported that in October 2025, the number of migrant apprehensions nationwide plummeted to a mere 30,561 – a 79 percent dip from the number of apprehensions recorded a year earlier. The outlet added that in the first nine months of Trump's second term – from Jan. 21 through Oct. 31 – immigration agents arrested a total of 106,134 nationals illegally in the country. "Our mission is simple: secure the border and safeguard this nation, and that's exactly what we are doing," CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott said in a written statement on Wednesday, Nov. 5.  "No excuses. No politics. Just results delivered by the most dedicated law-enforcement professionals in the country. We're not easing up – we're pushing even harder." Moreover, the administration has maintained a steadfast policy of not releasing migrants into the U.S. interior – with officials from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reporting that Border Patrol agents did not release any illegals into the interior for the sixth straight month. "Every individual apprehended was processed according to law – a milestone unmatched in modern border history," the officials added. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also recognized her agencies' efforts toward ensuring the "most secure border ever." She added: "Thank you, President Trump, and our brave DHS law enforcement. You make America proud."

Majority of Americans back mass deportations, NYT poll confirms

Gerald Celente wrote in the March 11, 2021 edition of Trends Journal that "there is a confluence of reasons why the numbers at the border continue to rise, from worsening economic conditions in many Central American countries and a view by many migrants that a Biden administration is more welcoming than the previous White House." Now that Trump has returned, the numbers are on the downtrend. The Trump administration's tough stance on immigration has garnered significant public support – with a September poll revealing that a majority of Americans back mass deportations and stricter border controls. The poll conducted by the New York Times (NYT), which surveyed 1,313 registered voters, found that 52 percent of respondents support Trump's policy of "deporting immigrants living in the United States illegally back to their home countries." Moreover, the NYT poll also found that 51 percent of respondents said the government was deporting people who "should be deported." Fifty-four percent, meanwhile, said they support the deportation of foreigners living in the country illegally. This sentiment reflects the growing concern among U.S. citizens about the impact of illegal immigration on their communities, economy and national security. The Trump administration's success in enforcing border security has sent a clear message to would-be migrants and their sponsors that the U.S. is serious about protecting its borders and upholding its immigration laws. This commitment to national sovereignty is not only crucial for maintaining public safety and fiscal responsibility, but also for preserving the integrity of America's immigration system.
