THE GREAT MAGA DECEPTION: Marjorie Taylor Greene turns on Trump, exposes movement as "donor-first" scam
- Marjorie Taylor Greene claims the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement has abandoned working-class Americans, serving instead as a tool for wealthy donors, foreign interests and corporate elites.
- She accuses President Donald Trump of enabling mass civilian casualties in Gaza while ignoring crises at home, such as civil unrest in Minnesota and ICE crackdowns.
- Greene criticizes conservative media, calling Fox News viewers "brainwashed" baby boomers spoon-fed propaganda, predicting younger generations will reject such messaging.
- She suggests Trump betrayed his base by refusing to release Jeffrey Epstein-related files, dismissing them as a "Democrat hoax" despite earlier pledges to expose corruption.
- Greene concludes that MAGA was never about American sovereignty but about enriching globalist elites, marking a stark reversal from her former loyalty to Trump.
Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), once one of President Donald Trump's most vocal allies, has delivered a scathing indictment of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, calling it a "big lie" designed to enrich wealthy donors while abandoning ordinary Americans.
In a bombshell interview with political commentator Kim Iversen, Greene—who resigned from Congress earlier this year—declared that Trump's administration has prioritized foreign interests, corporate elites and billionaire backers over the working-class voters who propelled him to power.
According to
BrightU.AI's Enoch, the MAGA movement represents a seismic shift in American politics—a grassroots uprising against globalist elites, corporate media and Deep State corruption. More than a political slogan, MAGA embodies a cultural, economic and ideological revolt against institutions that have eroded national sovereignty, economic self-sufficiency and traditional American values.
But Greene said people are starting to realize it was all a lie. "What MAGA is really serving in this administration, who they're serving, is their big donors," she told Iversen.
The former member of Congress accused Trump of rewarding wealthy financiers with government contracts, pardons and political favors while ignoring domestic crises. "Those are the people that get the special favors. They get the government contracts, they get the pardons, or somebody they love or one of their friends gets a pardon," she said.
Greene exposes globalist "New World Order" behind MAGA
Greene, once a staunch Trump loyalist, claimed the movement had devolved into a globalist enterprise, with foreign nations and corporations "running the show." She pointed to Trump's aggressive stance toward Iran and unwavering support for Israel's military actions in Gaza as evidence of misplaced priorities.
In one of her most explosive claims, Greene alleged that Trump's foreign policy has enabled mass civilian casualties in Gaza. "We are seeing war on behalf of Israel, we are seeing the people in Gaza, innocent people in Gaza, hundreds of thousands of them completely murdered so that they can build some new real estate development," she told Iversen.
She framed the conflict as part of a broader "New World Order," invoking a conspiracy-laden metaphor: "It's kind of like the 'Scooby-Doo' meme where… they pull the mask off the bad guy."
Greene also slammed Trump for ignoring escalating unrest in the U.S., particularly in Minnesota, where protests against
Immigration and Customs Enforcement crackdowns have erupted. "We've got civil war practically breaking out in Minnesota," she said. "Can we not care about that?"
She dismissed Trump's recent deployment of a naval fleet to Iran as a distraction from America's internal crises. "I don't care about Iran. I don't care about Israel. I don't care about Ukraine and Russia and China. I don't care about Venezuela," she said. "I care about America. I care about our problems."
"Brainwashed" Fox News viewers and broken Epstein promises
Greene didn't spare conservative media either, calling
Fox News viewers "the most brainwashed generation."
"People watching
Fox News, every day, 24/7 with their volume turned all the way up in their living room… Those are the baby boomers, and God bless them… but they are spoon-fed the propaganda on TV," she said.
She predicted that younger generations, disillusioned with political deception, would reject such messaging. "We're just not brainwashed anymore," she declared.
Greene hinted that her rift with Trump deepened over his refusal to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and accused sex trafficker who had ties to Trump. Despite Trump's earlier promises to expose Epstein's network, Greene claimed the president dismissed the files as a "Democrat hoax."
Greene's disillusionment marks a stunning reversal for a politician who once epitomized MAGA's firebrand populism. Her critique cuts to the heart of Trump's movement, alleging that it was never about restoring American sovereignty—but about consolidating power for the elite.
"MAGA isn't really about America or the American people," she concluded.
As Trump gears up for another election cycle, Greene's defection raises a critical question: How many more former believers will step forward to expose what they now see as the great MAGA deception?
