Indian-American filmmaker and political commentator Dinesh D'Souza released a new video where he warns that the
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is "
a grave threat" to America's national security.
"In fact, I would say the FBI now poses a greater threat to our national security than any militant white supremacist group," he said in his video podcast. "Thugs with badges are always more dangerous than thugs on the street.
In his diatribe, D'Souza says that the FBI is
setting up innocent, patriotic Americans as part of its so-called investigation into the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
D'Souza points out that some involved in Capitol riot were FBI agents
D'Souza's comments came after a
report from Revolver. The report charged that key individuals who planned the Capitol riot were likely federal agents or informers. As part of this, the report documented multiple "unindicted co-conspirators" who were cited in federal charges against some of the defendants from the event.
But these "unindicted co-conspirators," who allegedly committed many of the same acts as those now being charged as part of the FBI's investigation, are not being charged. The report states that they aren't even being identified.
In his podcast, D'Souza argued that the
Revolver report demands more explanation from the FBI. But the Bureau has so far not provided any explanation for it.
D'Souza then pointed out that the FBI has been known to have agents infiltrate groups that it has targetted for years.
He then brings up the suspected plot to kidnap Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. The blame for this plot was put on a right-wing paramilitary group looking to stop the draconian Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions Whitmer had enacted in the state. (Related:

But, as D'Souza points out, further investigation has revealed that five of the 14 operatives arrested for their involvement in the plot turned out to be either FBI informants or actual FBI agents.
Other instances of FBI manipulation include the creation of the storyline used against former President Donald Trump during and after his first election campaign, alleging that he had colluded with Russia.
Tucker Carlson echoes D'Souza's concerns
D'Souza's comments in regards to the
Revolver report echo those of
FOX News's Tucker Carlson.
Reacting to the report, Carlson asked why the administration was refusing to show surveillance video taken during the Capitol riot.
"Why is the administration hiding more than 10,000 hours of surveillance tape from the U.S. Capitol?" Carlson wondered. "What could possibly be the reason for that? Even as they call for more openness. We need to get to the bottom of it. They could release those tapes today, but they’re not. Why?"
Carlson pointed out that, thanks in part to the
Revolver report, it's now easy to see that FBI operatives were involved in the Capitol riots and that the government is hiding their involvement. While the government has "thrown the book" at a number of people involved in the incident, it has refused to do so to a number of "unindicted co-conspirators," who it has refused to name.
"For example, one of those 'unindicted co-conspirators' is someone the government identifies only as 'Person Two,'" he explained. "According to those documents, 'Person Two' stayed in the same hotel room as an 'insurrectionist' named Thomas Caldwell, who's alleged to be a member of the group called the Oath Keepers. 'Person Two' also 'stormed the barricades' at the Capitol on January 6, alongside Thomas Caldwell."
But it turns out "Person Two," as well as another "unindicted co-conspirator" identified as "Person Three," were organizers of the riot. Despite this Carlson and the
Revolver report point out that the government has not charged them.
"Why is that? You know why. They were almost certainly working for the FBI," Carlson stated. "So FBI operatives were organizing the attack on the Capitol on January 6, according to government documents. And those two are not alone."
