Thank you, Ellie Zeiler, who has 10.5 million followers on the platform. After mentioning she talked to White House officials about this issue, she said they filled her in on what's actually happening. “We’re getting out of a two-year pandemic. When use goes up, price goes up.” Zeiler said. "Now with Putin starting this horrific fight between Ukraine and Russia, nobody wants to work with him and do international trade," she said. This nonsense has been repeated verbatim by scores of other 'influencers' -- ditzes like this chick who probably couldn't find Ukraine on a map, or even Russia, and have no idea how domestic energy policies under former President Donald Trump, had Biden continued them, would have mitigated any loss of oil from Russia. Then again, she probably doesn't know that America, were we to tap our resources in a meaningful way, has more oil and gas than just about any country on the planet, meaning we would never have to purchase any energy from anybody. "The messaging on high gas prices and inflation has been consistent among Biden and his allies, as well as in the corporate press. Now, this message is being repeated across many different platforms and targeting those outside of the cable news audience," The National File reported. Not mentioned in the influencer's video were these facts that have also been driving up oil and gas prices: -- Biden's first-day executive order canceling the Keystone XL pipeline; -- His cancellation of oil drilling contracts off Alaska's coast, in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), where some of the world's biggest oil reserves are known to exist; -- Biden's cancellation of new drilling contracts on all federal land. Oil contracts are based on future speculation, like it or not, and if investors see the industry under assault, which it clearly is under Biden, then that will affect prices. Speculators are wagering that while oil production in the U.S. was high during Biden's first year, they understand that's because the industry's potential was unleashed by Trump policies. What's more, it is equally clear that Biden is being told by his left-wing handlers to hamper and decimate the U.S. oil and gas industry, to the detriment of the country by making us more reliant on tyrannical regimes like Russia, Iran and Venezuela. But in fact, even Democrats -- especially those whose seats are vulnerable in the upcoming midterm elections -- know Biden's policies are wrong, and they have begun pushing him to reverse them. Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), who is chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, argued that the U.S. should “not be trading in one tyrant for another to meet America’s energy needs.” “We need to blow a hole in the Russian economy. We need to lower gas prices for American consumers. Everything should be on the table,” he said in an interview. “But I don’t support strengthening one dictator to hurt another. And I don’t think you’ll see us do that.” Biden and his left-wing deep state handlers are obviously working to destroy our economy. It'd be nice if we had an honest, non-partisan media to ask them why they are doing so.
