News from Mike Adams: Brighteon is now publishing videos via decentralized platform QORTAL, free from CENSORSHIP and control

Mike Adams, the founder of alternative media platform Brighteon and creator/host of the "Health Ranger Report," has just announced the newest breakthrough in the world of content creation and distribution: a peer-to-peer decentralized "censorship-proof" network that is sure to thrive even if the government decides to seize servers and domains. It is called Qortal. The channels are distributed using their own browser-like interface. No need for Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. The portal node can be run on Windows, Mac or Linux. "This is going to be absolutely crucial for when nuclear war breaks out or martial law is declared. We're going to be able to distribute urgent messages through the portal. So Qortal is going to be the underground message system," he said. Adams and his team have just completed the engineering and are rolling it out. "Right now, it's only ingesting two channels off of Brighteon.com: Brighteon.TV, which has dozens of videos each day, and my channel Health Ranger Report, just because I wanted to try it with these two channels in case something went wrong," he announced and added that so far, all is working great. "If you are a Brighteon TV host or viewer, or just a fan of the channel, you now have a new way to access all the videos on Brighteon even if the government seizes all of the servers or the Brighteon.com domain name, we're talking about extreme censorship bulletproof status here and a truly decentralized video content distribution system," Adams pointed out. And it doesn't end there as the team is working on expanding it as they are also going to integrate his founded news outlet, Natural News plus more interesting things to be announced as they're closer to being ready. "The good news is that Qortal is free to download and free to use. It's just free, free as in beer," he happily announced. Adams said he has been working on this for several years now and he actually first described the system on the "Alex Jones Show" many years ago. "It was in 2012, I believe when I was on Alex's show, and I said, 'Look, we have to build a decentralized peer-to-peer video, emergency, content distribution platform.' And at that time, the technology just frankly, did not exist. I've been looking for tech and project managers that could actually get it done. And so, it took this long for that technology to become mature, affordable, and reliable enough," he recalled. Qortal also has its own coins, according to Adams. (Related: Brighteon founder launches Decentralize TV, a new show and website focused on “decentralized living” for all people who value freedom and autonomy.)

How to download, install and use Qortal

As early as now, one can already start using the platform. Adams warned that at the moment, the portal is in its early stages, thus, working at a slower pace. However, it is going to get faster as more people use it. That's the way peer-to-peer systems work, he added. First, on a browser, type in Qortal.org, click on "Join the Network, "download the .exe file and install it. When it asks to install the chordal node, choose the option that says "Yes, install the node." "And that will use your system to help add one more node to the global network of nodes and help pass traffic in and out, including bits and bytes of videos. It's all encrypted. And this is how we create a giant global internet mesh network that's completely peer-to-peer and can't be censored because there are no central servers, no DNS, and no web domains. There are no specific IP addresses that this has to run on," Adams added. Once it has been installed, one would need to create a user profile by signing in. Once registered, open up a new tab inside the portal UI by clicking the plus (+) tab. The tab displays various items such as wallets, because it supports different cryptocurrencies. There is also a trading portal and Q-chat program where you can chat with other people. There is also name registration, where you can buy names. In the said tab, you can click on the Q-Apps tab, where you can search networks and channels. For Brighteon, you can type in QBrighteon and search. Once it displays, you can start downloading it. "And then, forevermore, you have Brighteon working on the portal which is completely censorship-proof decentralized, and it's currently ingesting all of the older videos from the years 2021 through 2023, I think," he said, adding that in the network, one can choose a channel name and watch all the videos published by them as in Brighteon.com. Also, when a video is played, there's a flashing blue down arrow button on the top right of the portal screen. He also said that more node hardware is being installed so videos can play and be downloaded faster.
