The son of iconic musicians John Lennon and Yoko Ono has spoken out against diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives pushed by the woke left following now-former Harvard president Claudine Gay's resignation. (Article by Jarryd Jaeger republished from ThePostMillennial.com) Sean Ono Lennon declared DEI to be nothing more than "Dumb Evil Idiots," and took aim at those who seek to ensure that it infiltrates every aspect of society. "Have you guys heard of DEI? It stands for 'Dumb Evil Idiots'," he wrote on X Wednesday. While the post has since been deleted, his statement was reported by numerous outlets such as the Daily Beast and Breitbart. "Now do ESG, in schools," one user commented, to which Ono Lennon replied, "Exploiting Seems Good." On Tuesday, billionaire Harvard donor Bill Ackman posted a multi-thousand-word breakdown of the truth behind DEI initiatives, decrying the impact they have had on the once-prestigious institution. He pointed out that DEI was "inconsistent with basic American values," and chalked it up to a "political advocacy movement on behalf of certain groups that are deemed oppressed under DEI's own methodology." He called on the entire Harvard board to resign, deeming their hiring of Gay to have been motivated by a "predetermined objective of only hiring a DEI-approved candidate." "To make a long story short," Ono Lennon argued, quote-tweeting Ackman's post, "The people who claim to be fighting 'institutional racism' are doing so by creating institutional racism ... and you can also supplant the word 'racism' with 'oppression.' It's both." He added that "absolutely no one should be surprised by this." "Sean are you based or woke"? another user asked. "Wasted," Ono Lennon replied. "Baked." Following his condemnation of DEI, however, he was labeled "based" by other users on X. "Sean Lennon W," another said. This is not the first time Ono Lennon has treaded into political issues. During the pandemic, he criticized those who went along with China's "official" numbers, and said the media had "lost their legitimacy." Read more at: ThePostMillennial.com
