Texas AG Paxton: Biden federalizing Texas National Guard would be a disastrously BAD DECISION

President Joe Biden federalizing the Texas National Guard (TNG) is a bad decision, according to the state's Attorney General (AG) Ken Paxton. He shared this opinion during an appearance on "The Glenn Beck Program," in response to Beck's question about what would happen if the chief executive pushed through with this move. "He has the right to do it, obviously – [but] I think that's a bad decision. I think it's also a bad decision for his election chances, because his numbers on the immigration issue are not good. And if he takes over our National Guard and makes it even harder for us to protect the border, then I think that it hurts him in the upcoming election," said Paxton. "So he's got to make a choice here. Does he want to continue to damage his reputation and his standing on the immigration issue? Or is he going to go forward with this policy that he has [had] for the last three and a half years – which is to dismantle every law that we have in place, and help the cartels accomplish their goals of getting as many people here as possible and building their network in our country?" Beck commented that Biden would probably have to federalize the National Guard for 25 other states as these states are sending their forces to Texas. Paxton agreed, saying: "He would have to take them too."  (Related: BORDER SHOWDOWN: Texas National Guard told to hold the line against federal agents.) "It's going to be very confrontational. It's going to be very directed at the states, and it's going to be very directed at helping the cartels continue their operations at the border." Beck also brought up whether officials in the Lone Star State are talking about the possibility of a constitutional crisis, with Biden doing something foolish that causes real trouble. The Texas AG replied in the affirmative, saying that they have talked and thought about it – including the Biden administration fomenting some armed, violent conflict.

Biden admin doing its best to damage red states

According to Paxton, Biden's open borders policy isn't just about flooding red states with illegals to turn them blue. "It is not only about the voting; that's the long-term thing. But the other part of what they're doing is they are bringing people into our state so that we have higher costs," he told Beck. The 51st Texas AG also pointed out that the Biden administration is doing its best to damage and harm red states in every possible way – even if it means bringing in higher crime. "It's pretty obvious this hurts our state. It's pretty obvious they are bringing these people in because they want them to vote. And they want to be able to use it in their congressional drawing. It's pretty obvious that they will bring these people to Republican states, and they'll hurt the Republican states." Paxton also mentioned that U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents are on Texas' side, and they do not like what the Biden administration is doing. He pointed out that the TNG, USBP and state police are working together and have the same goal. However, Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas are forcing them to ignore the law. Ultimately, the Lone Star State's top attorney pointed out that this was more than ignoring the law. Rather, this is all about dismantling the law and aiding the cartels bring in more people into the southern border. "So they are making $10,000 to $12,000 a person. So, it's very helpful to the cartels that the Biden administration is doing this, and they know that. And that's why they are incentivized to get as many people here as possible," Paxton said.
